American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious rap tracks that tackled sexual identity and race with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to broadening her reach to Hollywood. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through trumpet. Additionally, she was given Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. When she was in the college years, she remained focused on her studies, and then took up a degree in women's studies as well as journalism. In a short period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. Her focus shifted to music once she completed her degree. Her song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in the year 2012. The track was later included in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Some other hits that went viral included queef song and the winking NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $.
