Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Restaurant invites you to explore her inner world through her cuisine. Food is what stirs curiosity. It was born when she left in the Long Island suburbs and entered the rich cultural landscape in Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas co-existing in the same meal is the premise of her beliefs. All of her dishes are created by her own idea of the future yet they also have a yearning for the previous. Inspired by her heritage as an Italian-American, Lofaso launched Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which immediately received a warm welcome. Lofaso's take on old-fashioned Italian has been hailed as one of the top places to enjoy Italian food within Los Angeles. Lofaso's food is consistently authentic, inviting and satiating. Lofaso worked as an apprentice for the master chefs of culinary, absorbing their techniques and taking risks. She didn't hesitate to take risks to pursue her own intuition. She worked closely with many celebrities and rose rapidly through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In 2011 Lofaso joined forces alongside Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to debut Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Through Black Market and the business partnership she created, Lofaso finally found the perfect location. Lofaso's creative freedom would be fostered by this collaborative effort. Black Market has no one plan in sight and it is that way. It can start with potato chips dill with shishito chillies, then continue with Korean Chicken and meatballs. Antonia is the linchpin of this dazzling array. The success of Lofaso has been judged by her ability to be true to herself while still in tune with her audience. Her unforgettable performance during Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars celebrated her uniqueness outside of the kitchen and her talents are still shining in front of the camera as an expert jury member on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and in her recurring role in Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso collaborated in partnership with Penguin in 2012 to release The Busy Mum's Cookbook 100 recipes for Delicious Home-cooked Meals. This cookbook also describes the obstacles she faced while taking classes at her first French Culinary Institute and raising Xea. Lofaso says that her passion in cooking is the primary factor behind her success. She stays in the know through keeping an eye on trends and fashion. She has revolutionized the industry's aesthetic by redesigning chef wear to be functional and stylish with her own brand Chefletics. Lofaso cares about keeping true to your vision. To do this, she's created Antonia Lofaso Catering. The company is set to provide custom experience to customers.
